The Beach has always been so alluring to me to run the dogs! The sand is so similar to the snow comfort and reactive wise, so it seems to be a familiar territory relatvely speaking. Obviously the sand is not cool like the snow but if we ride the waterline it can flow over their paws for a nice cooling effect! The beach also like the snow can have powder parts where you sink in and packed parts like packed snow. There is not alot of beach areas that iI'm famillar with in this part of the USA where we can run the dogs on my rigs. The best beach area I have found for running the dogs legally is Corolla Beach in Norrth Carolina where there's wild horses. We had quite a run there as we got onto the beach and started the horses took an intrest in the dogs and kind of played a little cat snd mouse with us. A beach tour bus loded with people really got their monies worth as they were enjoying this spectacle we created with the horses flirting with a sled dog team. We also got stuck as our support vehicle follows us down the beach and it got stuck and my dog rig got stuck also. The other video posted here is a run we did on Assetgue Island on Maryland's Eastern Shore. It was so cool also in one of my earler dog rigs that wasn't as sand capable but it did good and of course the dogs had a blast. On this adventure in Maryland there were wild horses also but we only really caught a glympse of them. Becuase this was in the heart of winter and nobody else was at the beach we were able to get the dogs off leash for an extra special treat! You can see all of this in these videos below!
